About Stonewick™

Stonewick™ was actually one of the first companies to start selling catalytic fragrance lamps with the old stone type burner. We started our fragrance business in 2003 and began importing catalytic lamps. It did not take us, or our customers, long to become frustrated by the lighting difficulties and inconsistent fragrance performance of that stone-type burner. We saw a 100 year old technology that needed innovation. So began our six-year journey of research and development searching for a better catalytic wick.

Working in collaboration with an incredible team of environmental compliance experts, university professors, PhD chemists, design engineers and laboratories, we developed the world’s strongest catalytic fragrance delivery system and discovered a better reed-type diffuser, too. We are proud to introduce two new fragrance technologies.

The invention of the metal Platinum Wick™ outdated the old stone-type catalytic wick, and along with it, the name of our company. However, through our extensive research and testing of porous materials, we discovered a technical ceramic mixture that absorbed and wicked liquids at a rapid rate. We perfected an aqueous pure fragrance formulation for optimal use with it. We then molded this novel stone material into long reed-type shapes — hence our name Stonewick®.

Our Story Continues with Air Quality Research

As the story goes, catalytic lamps were first invented in the late 1800′s for use in hospitals to aid patients with breathing difficulties. Over the last 100 years, claims about air purification and germ-killing benefits have been passed down by prior catalytic technologies. We are in the process of scientifically proving and documenting those claims for our new platinum catalytic wick delivery system. We know it works well on cooking, smoke, and pet odors. We also know catalytic lamps are really good at diffusing fragrance now that the Platinum Wick™ has been invented.
